Family Gift Exchange???

Hey you guys,

Would you ever consider putting the family names in a hat and drawing names for a gift exchange? We could do one for the kids and then one for the adults. I dunno, it beats trying to get a gift for everyone or no one at all.

We could post pictures of everyone opening their family gifts! Of course there would be a price limit but I would be game if everyone else is.
Let's see what say you!

quote for the day

Growing up in the Apple family was like going down a river on a raft. You were never worried about sinking, but then again, your feet were always in the water! (borrowed and modified from someone famous)
Just wanted you to see our brood.
L-R are Luke, Brayden, Grayson, Joshua, Nathan, Jayden, Mitchell, Leighton, Anna and Brooklyn. Oh yes, Oliver is due first part of Jan. but we expect him by Christmas.

Dave's Famous Fudge

Just in time for Christmas. A couple of years ago I talked our brother David into sharing his famous fudge recipe with me. He gave this to me over the phone and so I wrote it down just as he told it to me. So, here you go.....and, I have to say that I have already field tested this recipe and this is the real deal! This stuff is really rich ...so, watch out!

Ingredients:

3 C. of sugar
1 stick of butter (real)
2/3 C. of Evaporated Milk
½ C smooth Peanut Butter
1 Bag Peanut butter chips (12 oz bag)
1 Jar (small) jar (7 or 7 ½ oz) of Marshmallow Fluff
2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
On Low heat melt butter…then add milk….then sugar…and mix together….
Turn up heat to medium or medium-high…until it comes to a low-boil…slowly (turn heat down when it comes to a boil)…….stirring occasionally. Let it cook maybe 5 minutes or a little more……..this is the tricky part…….but, when it comes to a thick bubble……add the rest of the ingredients.
Remove from the burner and stir until melted. Dave recommends beating it quite a bit more…(almost til a blister forms on your fingers).
Note, if you have cooked it too long..you can add a little milk to it and thin it back down a bit……Dave said he usually does this by adding in a Table spoon of milk and works it on down to the consistency he likes.
Butter a pan and pour it all in……..and let it cool before cutting.

Fudge recipe is about the same except there is no half cup of peanut butter…..nor peanut chips……..and he adds a bit of salt…….and subs the chocolate chips for the peanut butter chips. He uses 2 teaspoons of vanilla in this for sure.

myspace.......

Hey all! This is Anna. I was so happy to see everyone at Thanksgiving this year we had such a wonderful time and I am going to post all of the pictures that I have very soon. If you were around, you may have heard me going on about all the pictures and things I have up on myspace....I and several other members of our family actually. Since this blog would be completely overloaded if I were to start posting that stuff here, I thought that I would create a little dummy myspace account just so you all could go on and see our family's pages and see the pictures and life descriptions that each of us has out there. It is completely safe and private. I have all the settings set up that way, and there is no risk of anyone contacting you or exposing you to any of the bad stuff that can be found out there on myspace if you were wondering.

All you have to do is go to www.myspace.com and the log-in email is: colechase3@yahoo.com, the password is: family1

When you get logged in you go down to the bottom of the page and you will see a whole bunch of different pictures of each one of us on there. If you click on the picture, it will take you to that person's site. If you click on their picture again after you are on their site, it will take you to all their pictures. Feel free to comment and message using this dummy site. You will just have to sign your name, so they know who it's coming from.

I just did this so that those who didn't feel they wanted to expose themselves "out there" on myspace would have the same ability to contact and interact the way the rest of us have been doing and see all the updates and pictures we've all been posting.

Love you all so very very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be back with the thanksgiving pictures as soon as I get them all uploaded

Anna

oh, P.s. Please email me with everyone's addresses. I have some of them, but I don't have most. And it's Christmas card time! Email: annacart@gmail.com
